Website Features

Whether you already have a Web Site and/or Web Store or simply want to add more capabilities to your existing site, our Web Site features are flexible to meet your needs.

For beginning a Web site, our online site-building tool allows you to choose from a variety of layout styles and designs. You can upload or change Images, files, text and store items anytime, and the changes are made immediately to your Web site.

The most important part about your Web site is being able to integrate it into your customer flow process. Here are some of the features that make integration possible for a site you built with our tool or a site you already have:

Forms
Forms can be used in a variety of ways:
  • A simple contact-us form ...
  • An event signup form ...
  • A request form ...
  • Even an online order form!

You can create any custom question you want for a form and then define how your visitors respond to it: required or optional, multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blank. You can change all the text on or around the form and even rearrange the order of the questions.

Most importantly, you — not an expensive Web master or Web designer — can make all these changes. Even if the form is already up on your site, your changes instantly update the online form.

In other site management systems, visitor information is sent to you by e-mail, which you have to re-enter in your sales application. Possibly it is stored in a database, but you still have to import the data to another system.

With the NetSuite Suite of products online forms, all information is instantly entered into the system as a record with all contact information and all answers to custom questions stored together. The contact record is also time-stamped so you can see when the record was created. Because we use the e-mail address as the unique identifier, each site visit won't create a duplicate record. If the same visitor submits another form, the additional information will be added to the first contact record, and the system notes will show you a history of all the activities for that contact.

You can define what kind of records should be created, depending on what online form your visitors submit. For example, a visitor who submits a Contact Us form could become "Lead - Expressed interest," and a visitor requesting delivery time for a specific zip code could be "Lead - Delivery inquiry."

You can assign each type of contact a percentage probability of closing a sale. In your field, maybe 10% of those who just express interest actually buy, but 65% of those who ask about delivery time place orders. Now you have the information to run a sales pipeline report and get a weighted sales forecast. You can assign any employees a role with access to these records. Then, they simply click a link to get started.

Store
If you want to sell merchandise online, our Web store can handle thousands of items, and you don't have to maintain duplicate records. The same item record used for inventory and accounting purposes is the same item record used in the Web store. Simply run down a list and click check boxes to decide if inventory items should be available for sale online.

Using the same records gives you huge productivity gains because any changes to a record are automatically seen wherever the record is used. For example, if you change the price because your supplier has increased the price to you, the new price automatically shows online. Want to use a different picture? A different description? Again, any employee with a role that allows access to the items can change them. No special HTML skills necessary!

Another gain with the NetSuite Suite of products' Web Store is inventory management. While doing all the behind-the-scenes accounting for income, assets, expenses and cost of goods sold, the system tracks the units available for each item. On the store side, you can set up rules for real-time inventory availability. As soon as items are out of stock, they can disappear from your site, be marked unavailable for purchase or back-ordered for your customers.

Multi-level pricing gives you flexibility in setting different prices for different shoppers. How do top-level customers get top-level prices? Every item for sale can be assigned five price levels. Then you can match each of your customers to one of those levels. Would you like only resellers to see a certain line of merchandise? You can also specify that certain items be displayed only to customers who have been assigned a certain price level. Simply define your pricing rules, and customers get the right price whether they purchase from your Web site, over the phone or in person.

Customer Center
The Customer Center is a powerful post-sale tool. Your customers can log in to a secure area and get just their own information. They can view their order history, check the status of open orders, view their payment history, make payments online, submit questions or cases to Support and check on the status of those queries.

The integrated nature of the NetSuite Suite of products makes this information instantly and automatically available. Instantly, your customers are helping themselves with the most up-to-date information. Automatically, your productivity improves when each employee spends more time delivering results and less time searching for details.

These features will turn your Web site from being an expensive brochure with unknown real value into an integral tool-part of the customer flow process with benefits that can be easily measured in terms of leads generated, sales made and post-sale service provided.
