Rick Collins
During
the course of a professional career that spans over 15 years, Rick Collins
has held a variety of positions within both large corporations as well
as several start-ups. A history of working with technically related
Web-based, Internet and software products has given Mr. Collins an exceptional
understanding of the Internet infrastructure, e-commerce, and online
marketing.
Mr.
Collins has experience as a member of the Board of Directors for ReserveNet,
a web-based reservation system. Prior to joining ReserveNet he was Director
of Channel Development at Reef Inc., a global Internet software company
that offers an open software foundation for e-Business. Reef's partners
include Cisco Systems, IBM, Sun and CommerceOne. Reef was funded by
Goldman Sachs, Cisco Systems, 3i and Viventures.
Rick's
experience with rapidly growing companies is especially noted with his
tenure at CyberSource and Beyond.com. As one of the first employees
at CyberSource, he built and managed the software publisher relations
division. CyberSource became a public company in 1999 and is currently
recognized as a world leader in secure electronic payment solutions.
Rick was hand picked as part of the original management team that was
spun off from CyberSource to create Beyond.com, an online software provider.
While at Beyond.com he managed the e-commerce division as well as created
and managed their private label program. In 1998, Beyond.com went public,
becoming one of the top ten e-commerce sites with over 500 employees.
As
an early adopter of the Internet, he has capitalized on the potential
of the World Wide Web and uses his experience in assisting businesses
manage all of their business processes more efficiently and effectively.
Rick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from
Washington State University in 1986.
