Why does an integrated application make a business more efficient?
When your business has many different applications, you can't avoid the frustration of re-entering data into different programs, or settling for incomplete or out of date information and reports. NetSuite applications were designed as single applications, with all your business components completely integrated for maximum efficiency. So you'll spend less time moving data between different applications and more time running your business.

Why are NetSuite's applications Web-based?
The Web is a universally accessible and secure platform to deploy software, eliminating the need for you to invest in costly hardware, networking equipment, software maintenance or upgrades. By using the Web for your core business process applications, you and your employees can work or view critical business information from anywhere, at anytime, with unlimited users and with complete flexibility. And you'll save a ton of money in the process. For example, executives can see complete and up-to-date business information to make better decisions from anywhere; sales representatives can enter orders or check on a customer's payments from the customer site; employees can submit purchase requests or expense reports from home or from the road; customers can log on to pay you if you choose to give them limited access. Leveraging the Web, we have created seamlessly integrated and powerful applications that are extremely easy-to-use.

How do NetSuite's applications compare to traditional desktop software products like QuickBooks?
NetSuite’s applications take your company well beyond desktop-constrained products in features and accessibility. First, our applications have unmatched features and functionality within every component. For example, our standard accounting component includes features like sales orders, advanced shipping and receiving, period closing, inventory valuation options, and expense reports that QuickBooks just does not have. Our NetERP features include multi-currency support, multi-company consolidations, and LIFO/FIFO costing which are also unavailable in QuickBooks. Second, and perhaps even more importantly, our applications are single complete applications to run your entire business - not just a component of your business like every other desktop product available. So you are more efficient because everything works together in harmony, vs. creating islands of partial information with desktop software. Finally, our applications are available anywhere and at anytime via the Web for as many users as you choose, helping your entire company to make informed decisions...while desktop software data is usually constrained to just one employee's computer.
